Christmas Morning

I know I'm behind, but I also know that my mom would love to see pictures from Christmas morning. When Katie and Ryanne came to visit in early November, they brought some Christmas gifts...and, surprisingly enough, we didn't open them until Christmas!

I opened Katie's right when I woke up because I'd be dying to do so for about 6 weeks...It was two Christmas shirts and 2 seasons of TV on DVD (Pushing Daisies and Big Bang Theory)...for the record, I've already finished Pushing Daisies and started Big Bang Theory...they were much needed because I've finished everything else I brought (except 24, but I'm not sure I want to jump in).

My mom sent some as well, and for those I took some pictures:

She sent Daina some pumpkin bread mix...at which Daina screamed with excitement. Andrew's fiancee, Sarah, had sent him with a Christmas card that smelled like her...
My first gift from my mother
Christmas pajamas, of course.
She also sent a book called "Why Daughters Need Mothers"...but added her own pictures and captions...I cried...
And cried some more
Then the Ukrainians came in to open stockings...we had filled theirs with toothpaste and two candy bars (we were going to buy deodorant, but the stockings weren't quite big enough)
Tanya bought Emmanuel a toy car and each of the other Ukrainians a small gift.

The Ukrainians gave each of us a coffee mug that is written in Russian...awesome.
Daina made herself "Princess for the morning"...or a Christmas Angel...either way...

We had Christmas dinner with the Oasis House Boys...we brought chickens and they made chapati...we ate while watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...

After dinner, we came home and watched It's a Wonderful Life...which neither Daina nor Andrew had ever seen...

Pretty great Christmas away from home...

And now I am crying. Hope you liked the book...I worked on it for a while. You are the only one who would get 99% of those thoughts. I like that. I love you. Seeing you cry makes me cry. Can't wait to see you.
:)
Happy new year...you'll be 11 hours ahead of us on that too!
