And Then...

Christmas fell on a Thursday...and Boxing Day is celebrated here...so the town was closed on Friday as well...so we just hung around the house...

We read, watched movies, relaxed...

Then came Saturday...Saturday's in town are like Disneyland on a school holiday: insanity...
So, I opted to stay home again...

Sunday we made our way out to church and stopped for a milkshake in town on the way home...

Sunday night, Daina and Andrew went to House 1 to watch the Arsenal game...since I don't love soccer all that much, I stayed home...and tried to blog, but the internet is hit and miss...
When they came home, we watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone...Evidently, we love HP.

Okay...then, yesterday we began the back to school shopping for the 52 Oasis kids that attend school outside of the centre. We started off light yesterday (just pens, pencils, rulers and geometry sets)...I ordered the books with my friend at the bookshop and we'll pick them up today.

After a bit of shopping, we sat and read in the coffee shop...waiting for one o'clock.
We had told the house boys (the 7 who stayed behind for Christmas) to meet us in town for lunch...chips and chicken...It was a really, really good lunch...the Alakara has huge portions and such good food...obviously the boys loved it and we did too!

Paul

Pato
Pato and Andrew are two big kids...
Paul and Moses...
Elvis, Keya, Isaya, Moses, Justus, Paul and Pato...
After lunch we came home and went our separate ways: reading, relaxing, loading photos on to CDs...then, after dinner, we watched Chicago...

Oh, and the best part: I got two texts from Ryanne last night...for some reason, in this fluke moment of the cell network, texts came from America...but then, nothing...so it must have been an accident...either way, very exciting!
