We visited Oasis church yesterday...I got to sing "Mighty to Save" and then they asked Chris to teach next weekend!
After church, we went to lunch and then did a little shopping. I bought an entire school uniform (to match the Oasis boys)...the entire uniform cost about $30.
We were invited by a family from Deliverance church to have dinner at their house.
This is Apollo, Rachel and their two daughters. They cooked a ton of food for us, including chapati (which we were told is a dish prepared for special guests...not something to eat every night). They also had an amazing soundtrack to the evening: Backstreet Boys was playing when we came in, then Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Kirk Franklin and Andrea Bocelli...we sang along all night...it was unbelievable!
We were given the gift of two coconuts...so, of course, Chris and Caroline had to open them as soon as we got home...They pulled a machete off the wall (sorry Steve) and ran out to the front porch. Chris tried twice, but couldn't open it...and then Carol took one try and cracked it open. (Which is about right seeing as she's beat him at every sport so far--except for throwing the Maasai club...he threw it much farther)
Then, they used the corkscrew to drill in to the second coconut, poured juice inside and used it as a cup.
Oh, and The Professor was here, too.
Today, at Sister Freda's, Gayle was wearing a ladybug costume, so so cute...
