I had high hopes of posting everyday while I am in Kitale, but the transition back (for me and also for Sammy, whose house I'm staying at--more on her and her amazing place soon!) has been a little bit more hectic than we'd imagined...especially having a team of 14 people from all over the world (Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Germany, Serbia) in town at the same time.
I'm working on getting an evening internet routine in place. I've started writing posts from the week, but I want to do justice to the experiences and photos and people, so it's slow going. I've seen so many of my friends so far--and have many, many more to go. I can't wait to tell you some of their stories and show you their smiley faces (I mean, unless you've seen them all on facebook, in which case, only the stories will be a surprise!)
Oh, one more thing: we're heading to Northern Kenya tomorrow for a full week. I'm not certain I'll be able to post much (if anything) while we're there, but I'm really excited for all that the week will hold. I've been working on a bribery system for the people who have local phones...we'll see how that works out for me.
Otherwise, just hang in there...picture a cat on a tree branch as you read that...I'm alive and will have tons of great things to share next week!
