Today, Today It's All Or Nothing

I woke up this morning to Chris heading outside to shoot bow and arrow. He spent a few hours practicing and is actually a really great shot. He taught Caroline and tried to teach me, but I need some more work...I'll get there.
After a while, they decided to have chicken for lunch...so we got the camera, of course...
James chose the chicken.Chris got the knife.
Chris: "You guys do it this time, I'll watch and be ready for next time."
Instead, Chris held the feet. Caroline held the wings. James cut the head off.
Look at Caroline's face...
Caroline had to hold the chicken upside-down to drain the blood.Ayub put some boiling water in the bowl and de-feathered it.Chris' laundry on the line...he's so proud of his productivity.
"I spent two hours doing all of my laundry and she sat inside still in her pajamas!"
Ayub and Mary made dinner for us: chicken, chapati, sukuma wiki, green beans, potatoes. We ate and ate...it was SO delicious...
Around 3:30, we walked to town...through the streets of Kitale, to the supermarket (Gigamart). Then we rode boda bodas back to the house (bikes with seats on the back). I held a bag of eggs and cheese. The girls had bags of groceries. Chris had a backpack of soda.
It was such a scary, and fun ride home...

Now, we're watching "Can't Hardly Wait" and hanging out until dinner time...
Such a great relaxing day!
