I wish there were a manual for re-adjusting to life.
Not that I object to loving my life here...it's actually amazing (and was frightening) how easily I felt at home here...
It is also really comforting to feel homesick for Kitale.
How do I remember to balance Kenya-filled conversation with other topics?
How much am I cheating people by holding back my tears as I talk of missing my Kenyan family?
How can I keep from having my feelings hurt when someone obviously does not want to hear about Kenya?
I can't wait to be with them again...to hold their hands, to kiss their faces, to hear their voices, to see their smiles...
It is amazing to watch those children--some of them considered to be the untouchables of their society--who do not receive love--be so capable of giving love so easily, so abundantly...

You can always talk to me about it. People STILL ask me about my time in Kenya. I say, "Don't ask unless you want the 2 hour answer." And I was there two weeks.
You packed a lifetime of adventures and relationships in those seven months. You touched more people than most touch in their whole life.
I am sure there are people over there who miss you every day. And for every one of those, there is someone here who is so happy that you are 'home'.
I love and admire you so much.
You know, a mom never tires of hearing stories about her kids. Tell me.....
