Kamau, Kamau Wherever You Are...

Yesterday was Kamau's first day of school. Geoffrey had taken him to get a uniform and a tiny backpack, but knew how excited we were, so he let us take him to class.

We met him and his house dad, Anthony, at the school and waited outside while all of the paperwork was completed.

We could tell he was nervous, so we joked and played around while we waited. Then we led him over to his new classroom...filled with kids...He was nervous, but very brave. We came in, met his teacher, took a few more pictures and then said goodbye...
The whole time I was the first-time mom who wanted to hug and affirm the kid...and he was a "please leave now" kid...So funny...no words were necessary.

Patrick switched from House 3 to House 2, so Kamau could move in to House 3...this meant a change of school as well...he now attends Kitale Forest with all of the House 1 and 2 boys. He is in class with Evans, who may or may not be welcoming and comforting...it probably just depends on the day...
What a fun morning to be a part of...two great boys moving to two great schools...
