We visit three times a week (and, lately, on Sundays too) and I can't get enough.
Today, we brought a new friend with us: a girl named Alex who has been working at Sister Freda's. She and I sat together when we arrived and I explained a little bit of how Oasis was formed and why I wanted to come work here. I cried while explaining my love for and belief in what's happening here.
Later in the afternoon, I was telling her that I try to say "I love you" to the kids as much as possible because they don't have parents who tell them that everyday (except, of course, when Lydia is here) and I started crying again.
I love these kids. I wish there were a bigger word than love because my feelings for them are bigger than that word. I've started to say "sana, sana, sana" (a lot, a lot, a lot) after the "nakupenda" (I love you) or "milele na milele" (forever and forever). It still doesn't seem as strong as I'd like...
